"I am taking this opportunity to express my joy in finding a martial arts school that exceeds my expectations. The classes are full on and yet I am able to do things at my own pace. I was fortunate enough to participate in three classes taught by Si- Fu Julian Hitch; he is an inspiration.

Each week I look forward to learning something new or improving from the week before."

"Your schools really do live up to their claim of excellence. I can't fault the tuition and the teacher's assistants are particularly helpful; the advice and encouragement they give make a huge difference in helping you to improve quickly. Even in a short time I've been surprised by how much I've learnt."

“Wing Tsun is great to learn because it pushes you to your limit but never too far that you lose confidence. All of the teachers know what is important and teach you in such a way that you know the correct aspect to be learnt in that particular lesson.

I was never into sport because I never stay interested in anything for a very long time. I need to learn something new all the time and in Wing Tsun I have never been to one lesson and not learned anything. Learning this particular style of martial arts is all about self improvement and knowing yourself. Even though I have only been learning Wing Tsun for a few weeks my self confidence has improved greatly.

My favourite thing about it is that respect is a big part of the Julian Hitch MASE. For young people in the recent few years respect has been a big issue and going to the classes you know there is a high standard for the type of people who go. It is a very safe environment to enter where you have no worries and can just concentrate on yourself in a way that I believe no other sport allows.”

“The classes provided by Julian Hitch MASE have been excellent. As a beginner to any form of Combat discipline, I felt the classes were very well structured; they taught the theory of the basic principles and thereafter progressed to introducing this logic in moves. The use of Flip Charts was also very useful.

When I did struggle, I found Si-Mei and other experienced Wing Tsun members were always at hand and happy to assist; although I must admit originally I felt nervous about this.

I felt the learning progressed at a suitable pace and I never really felt out of my depth. The structure of the classes was very good, each week we always had the opportunity to apply what we learnt previously as well as learn something new, this certainly kept all the classes interesting. Another thing that made the classes special was the visits from Si-Fu Julian Hitch this helped with further embedding moves based on his views and kept me respecting the etiquette.”

“I have been training for about 6 months now and I know for certain I made the right decision to train at Julian Hitch MASE. The teachers are excellent and take time to make sure the students understand what is being taught and why. The classes are enjoyable and challenging and a good work out! I walk away after a class feeling physically tired, but very satisfied. It is a good feeling. The flexibility of the classes is important to me as my work pattern is varied and can change at the last minute.

Si-Fu Julian Hitch attends many classes and it is a privilege to learn from his immense knowledge of Wing Tsun, particularly at the seminars. I attended the Knife Defence Seminar and learnt some very effective skills about dealing with knife attacks, not just the physical side but also the theory and what an attacker's motives may be. This may help to avoid a situation becoming much worse.

I also have met a great group of people from all walks of life and everyone is very friendly and supportive of each other. There are no egos at this school that I have come across. I look forward to continuing my training and challenging myself to move up the grades. In fact, I do not think it will be long before my son joins me!”

"It gives me great pleasure to have the opportunity to write a few words about Si-Fu Julian and his excellent team. Despite my lack of martial arts experience, the teachers eased my initial nervousness, showing patience and teaching in a warm, friendly and professional manner. I would fully recommend this great school to everyone and hope that more people will take the opportunity to enjoy it as much as I have."

"Choosing to join the Julian Hitch Martial Art Schools of Excellence in Bromley was not based on location for me; it was undoubtedly the genuine enthusiasm that the teachers show each and every session I attended. Techniques and correct form are taught to individuals as well as groups. After a few weeks you get the impression that the instructors are fully aware of your ability and how to personally advance it. Si-Fu Julian Hitch has overseen several of the sessions I have attended, he is always approachable and seems to take pride in the performance and drive from his students.

The training so effective; it is taught in a distinctly open-minded style to ensure you feel why a form is correct, instead of simply being taught techniques. The pace at which you can advance is addictive; I am now personally considering advanced tuition class."

"I have only been a student for a few weeks and yet I have already seen the initial benefits of practicing Wing Tsun. Physically I am becoming fitter and stronger, and while the atmosphere of the school emphasises mental discipline, the training can also be a lot of fun! The teaching strikes the right path between seriousness and positive encouragement, and I'd advise anyone interested in real, disciplined martial arts training to give Julian Hitch MASE a try."

"Dear Si-Fu,

My partner started classes about a month ago (and has talked of nothing since!), and my children and I had our first class on Tuesday evening, I have to admit I was quite terrified about going but enjoyed it immensely.

I suffer from panic attacks and am hoping to overcome some of my fears by learning the Wing Tsun philosophy and my children are growing up in a world where unfortunately knowing how to defend yourself is becoming increasingly important.

We would like to thank you and your teachers for taking us on as your students and giving us the opportunity to better ourselves and the lives we hope to live.

With kind regards,

L, IT Representative, Bromley"

I am a new beginner and have only trained for a few hours. However, I would like to say thank you, firstly for letting me and my friends join the school and, secondly, thank you for the training which you and your instructor team have already provided. The training has already proven itself very useful; I am in the security industry and found myself in a hostile situation. I chased after a shop-lifter with no radios and my team were separated and didn’t know my whereabouts. The shoplifter was very agitated and aggressive and of a much bigger size than me. I had asked him to calm down a number of times but he would not comply… He actually tried to strike me in the face but I used the ‘beggar’s palm’ to defend and attack at the same time. Obviously I didn’t want any trouble but I have only trained for a few hours and your teachings have already proved useful. I will carry on training hard as this has made me even more determined and intrigued to learn more about Wing Tsun. Thank you once again."
