Building Self Confidence

‘Big things have small beginnings..

Quite simply if you are going to do one thing in your life that truly offers you the highest level of self development and awareness then do Wing Tsun. Where there’s a will there’s a way and I cannot now imagine any other way than Wing Tsun. All you need is to make that first step to begin the journey that will give you the opportunity to keep building, developing and improving your body and mind.

Rarely in life do opportunities come along like this and you often do not realise the significance of that opportunity until you take it. I recommend you grab it with both hands, hold on tight, go forward, stick with it and enjoy the journey…You won’t regret it!’

'I have Autism and this affects me in different ways each day; however I have found that the teachers and the Wing Tsun system is very logical and helps me in my daily life. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone and especially to those with Autism or learning difficulties or other health issues. I have found it helps with your co-ordination, your mental wellbeing, confidence and if you have anger or other stress/anxiety issues it helps you to relax and control your temper. It has helped me with eye contact and learning about other people and issues I had with one-to-one contact. My aim one day is to be as competent as they are and I hope to use the knowledge thay have given me to help others with learning difficulties or Autism to learn the fun, logical and effective system.'

‘Improved confidence, fitness, body-strength, stamina, etc. etc. You may well also find that it's not just physical confrontation that you are better able to deal with, but can also just generally stand-up for yourself better than you previously were able to. Who knows? Do this and you might find yourself asking your boss for that raise you’ve been wanting!’

‘I initially started Wing Tsun to increase my confidence when protecting my young family. Society today is a more violent experience and the skills Wing Tsun teaches show you how to avoid or stop violence directed towards you. I want to mention the added benefits when learning Traditional Chinese Wing Tsun with Si-Fu Julian. I have increased my confidence in approaching all problem situations whether physical or in the workplace. I have become healthier and stronger and most importantly I look forward to my lessons as they are just great fun.’

‘I have trained with Julian Hitch M.A.S.E for two and a half years and have found the Wing Tsun system of great benefit to my health and self confidence, as well as easy to learn and apply. During my time at Julian Hitch M.A.S.E I have met many people from all walks of life and have made some very close friends. The classes are friendly and the tuition given is second to none. I cannot imagine ever stopping my Wing Tsun training. Thank you Si-Fu Julian.’

‘Wing Tsun has helped us by developing our self confidence, both socially and when faced with potentially dangerous situations. Wing Tsun is also fun, especially if you are the kind of person who makes friends easily, because you will find that new members quickly fit in with the camaraderie of the group. It really does help develop your self-confidence very quickly, largely because, in our experience, it pushed us to do things that we would not usually have done, such as talking to and introducing ourselves to new people. It will also increase your fitness level and stamina. I've always said that compared with doing a Wing Tsun class after a hard day at work, anything else is easy. Finally Wing Tsun teaches how to recognise when a potentially dangerous situation is developing and how to deal with it if it does, something that is becoming more necessary on today's streets.’

Peter and David J, 22 from Catford. Management Trainee at Waitrose

‘Since starting Wing Tsun I have found that outside the class room I am a more positive and relaxed person. I would recommend joining these classes to anyone who wishes to change their lifestyle positively and those who lead busy lives as it relieves stress and makes you more focused. On the physical side it builds stamina and genuinely keeps you fit and healthy.’

Della O, 23 from Forest Hill. Student

The basic techniques of Wing Tsun can be learnt quickly and are simple to use, and the underlying principles are applicable in all aspects of life. I would recommend highly this school to anyone looking for a system that can both physically protect you and provide a moral code, or simply as a path to fitness and focus.
