Working with the local communities

As professional schools we believe in working closely with the local community, and are dedicated to promoting responsible self-defence and developing self-confidence in young people.

Diffusing violent situations and building self-confidence

The courses that we run develop a young person’s self-confidence, co-ordination and fitness and teach them how to manage when faced with a potentially violent situation. This, importantly, includes the de-escalation of violence. It has been proved that individuals with such abilities, when in a confrontational situation, are less likely to become over-anxious or over-violent which could provoke the situation. The courses also help develop greater self-discipline and understanding of courtesy and respect towards others. Our courses can able be tailored to the specific requirements of the school. Upon completion all participants will be presented with a certificate of achievement.

Free tuition for schools

Our instructors are more than happy to talk at assemblies for schools free of charge. We also do not charge for tuition at one-off events. For longer courses the prices depends on the how many students take place, and the duration of the course. However, we wish to make all our courses affordable and can tailor the course to your budget. We are also able to teach on a regular basis within schools as part of the sporting syllabus or extra-curricular activities. Please be aware that we do get booked up quickly, so it is best to arrange the course and talks well in advance.

'We would like to express our gratitude for your contribution to the Year 13 Action Day.

The feedback which we received from the students and the members of staff present about the self defence session was very positive indeed. You have very successfully communicated the importance of staying safe. The students and staff alike thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and found the advice and the techniques which you have taught them to be very practical and valuable.

We look forward to working with you again in the future.'

'Thank you so much for the self-defence programme you held at my school today. It was incredibly informative and has made me feel more confident about defending myself, should I be attacked… I think I speak for everyone when I say we’re all grateful for your seminar. Thank you and the instructors so much for taking time out to teach us about self-defence.’
