Greetings on this beautifully sunny morning.

In the next few days I will be talking about the recent seminar. I apologise for not writing sooner, but I’m afraid the aftermath of the seminar has meant that I have been extremely busy. Today, however, I would like to mention the events that took place over the past weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday we were invited to be part of the Bromley Arts Festival, celebrating local performing arts and the creativity of the London Borough of Bromley in general. The event took place in the town centre in the Market Square, conveniently only a 1 minute walk from our school. Although Saturday was rather drab and chilly weather wise, it was excellent to see such a good turn out from the audiences. Having a marquee and stall in the Market Square on both days it was also lovely to have to the opportunity to meet so many interesting and enthusiastic members of the public.

On the Sunday we performed our demonstration on the main stage to a large and appreciative audience. Those participating in the exhibition of Wing Tsun should know that I was pleased with their performance; it has continued to go from strength to strength throughout the summer in both technique and professionalism. I look forward to it developing even further.

Having only received a rather belated invitation I would like to express my thanks to members of both the schools that gave up their whole weekend at short notice to help out. All those involved can be proud that they were able to show the real face of Chinese Wing Tsun to the public. Thanks are also due to Bromley Council for having the novelty to organise such an event and we look forward to supporting it again next year.

The schools have received an almost overwhelming interest recently (not to mention over the weekend), so I will be personally conducting two introductory sessions this week - tomorrow and Wednesday. There may be a few places left for those that still wish to attend, although you will need to contact the school to find out. Please note that all places must be booked in advance, we will not be able to accommodate people who simply turn up on the day. If for any reason you cannot make your allotted introduction, it is important that you let the school know at the earliest possible opportunity so the place can be given to those on the waiting list.
