Good evening.

Next week sees the beginning of the Summer Seminar - taking place between the 2nd and 6th July. If you haven’t already received a brochure please contact the schools. For those students who have not yet attended a seminar you might find it useful to look at the webpage about it. However, in short they are one-off events, available (and indeed recommended) for students of all levels.

The seminar will be the equivalent of a summer camp and as such will be a special event. This is because each day will in effect be a miniature seminar; it will start with the theory, background and underlying principles before going on the practicing the techniques and their practical applications. As we are aware that many students find it hard to take time off work, particularly those with families, we have arranged for the seminar to be conducted at the normal times (evenings and weekends). The timetable will be as follows:

Wednesday 2nd July 8:00 – 10.00pm
Wing Tsun Punches

Thursday 3rd July 7.00 – 10.00pm
Wing Tsun Kicks

Friday 4th July 7.00 – 10.00pm
Wing Tsun Elbows

Saturday 5th July 10 – 12.30 am& 1.30 – 3.30pm
Defence against Multiple Assailants

Sunday 6th July 10 – 12.30 am& 1.30 – 3.30pm
Wing Tsun Sparring

The aim of this seminar is to give an all-round grounding in the Wing Tsun system. This is unlike others which are normally on only one topic. In fact, it will be the first time I have taught a 5 day seminar in this format. Because it is a special occasion I will be teaching some very advanced, and rather secret parts of the Wing Tsun system; the material covered will be from the whole unarmed Wing Tsun system including Biu Jee and Wooden Dummy. See later posts for more details...

Ps. There is also only a limited amount of space in the hall so please let the Si-Hings/Si-Meis know whether you will attending and what days (it also allows less time to be spend on admin. on the day).
