| Good morning. I would like to write about the recent Chi-Gerk seminar. I apologise for not writing sooner, I have been literally teaching non-stop since then. Time permitting I will try to relate some of the interesting events that have happened in the past few weeks. The seminar proved to be every bit as special as it promised.  There are a number of reasons for this, but not least was the fact that so many students made the effort to attend. It was nice to see students that could not attend the whole seminar still coming to least one of the sessions. | Good morning. I would like to thank all the people who wrote to me recently expressing their agreement with, and belief in, what was written in my post on the 10th August. I have had quite a large number of emails, from both martial artists and non-martial artists alike. It is always nice to know when something is well-received, so I appreciate those people taking the time to let me know. I am also happy if I can help people see what is right and what is wrong. It certainly doesn’t always make me popular – but thankfully this is not the role of a master. If we are going to make the world we live in the place it should be, it needs people more to stand up and say what they believe… | |

| Grading preparation | |

| Greetings. The classes this week are dedicated to grading preparation and recapping the material that has been taught for the last 2/3 months. It is advisable that all students attend at least one of the classes this week as it will be covering a lot of ground. As readers of my blog will be aware, I believe that grading plays an important part in the development of the students (see previous posts for more details), so the teachers will also be speaking to the each student as to what is the suitable level for them. To make sure that the situation is clear about the grading, no-one is permitted to enter for a grading that they are not sufficiently prepared for. | Good morning. Today I would like to write, as promised, a few words about the forthcoming Chi-Gerk seminar (12th, 13th and 14th September). I previously mentioned that this seminar is the highlight of the seminar year for the schools. I don’t say this lightly, but I in fact believe that its teachings will be so exclusive that it will be the highlight of all the seminars I have taught to date… Chi-Gerk is, in essence, the developing of automatic reflexes with your legs - exactly the same concept as that of Chi-Sau. | Good morning. In case you haven’t seen already, the pictures from the summer seminar are in the gallery. The next seminar will be the Chi-Gerk seminar which takes place in Dulwich on 12th, 13th and 14th September. This is the highlight of the seminar year; it will cover extremely exclusive material that is only ever normally taught just before mastering the whole unarmed Wing Tsun system. | Bromley Carnival | |

| Good afternoon. On Monday (25th August) we will be taking part in the Bromley Carnival. This will take place in Norman Park (which, for those of you interested in history, is named after General Norman who used to own a large part of the land in Bromley). The event takes place between 10am and 5pm and is normally one of the highlights of the year for Bromley Borough. It has been running for over 30 years and will have a lot of entertainment aimed at all ages – from live music through to donkey rides. The will also be a large number of charity and trader stalls.
