Special Training
By Si- Fu onFriday, March 21, 2008
Good morning and greetings on Good Friday.

This Saturday there will be an extra special training for those students who are invited to the instructor class. While the schools are officially on a break, this is a reward for all the hard work that those students have put in for the first quarter of the year.

Break for Easter
By Si- Fu onMonday, March 17, 2008
Good afternoon.

To confirm: there will be a 1 week break for Easter, as mentioned earlier in the year. The last class will be this Thursday (20th) and will restart the following Thursday (27th). Normally our schools try to align with the general break for this period, although in the present circumstances with Easter being early this year this does not seem possible as there is no one fixed date.

This is an excellent opportunity to spend time with families and loved ones if at all possible; indeed Easter day is one of only 3 days in the year that I will not teach Wing Tsun. It is also important to occasionally have a rest if you are continually training hard on a regular basis, as both your nervous sy ...

Specialist Training

Good morning

I would like to mention a few words about seminars in general. I have written on this topic before, about 5/6 months ago, but with the ‘season’ of seminars having started again I will discuss some of the main points again. There is also a webpage on this topic which gives an overview of what can be expected from the seminars.

However, before I come on to this I would like to first discuss a separate point. Last week I heard from the instructors that a few students claimed they were not aware that they would miss out if they did not attend. As all readers of my blog will know I have absolutely no complaints personally; indeed the turn out for the ...

Seminar
By Si- Fu onSunday, March 09, 2008
Good evening.

The photographs from the recent weapons defence seminar are now in the Gallery. I am happy to say they are of the expected quality. The only comment I will make is that they are only representative of the seminar on the Thursday and Friday, as photographer was not otherwise available. The Gallery, therefore, does not contain photos of all those that attended over the weekend, or of any applications other than defence against knives.

Appreciation...

Good morning.

I would like to say thank you for all the nice emails and text messages that I have received from students who attended the recent seminar. As I have said already it was certainly one of the most enjoyable seminars for me personally, and as a teacher there is nothing better than teaching positive and dedicated students. I am fortunate to have students with this in abundance.  I have quoted below just a couple of these messages below, but I would like to thank everyone who attended.

Photographs
By Si- Fu onTuesday, March 04, 2008
Good morning.

The pictures from the end of year Graduation have (finally!) been added to the Gallery. The photos from the recent seminar should be ready in the next week or so.

I am afraid that the photographs from the Graduation are not up to usual high quality – hence there are also only a small number of them. This is because, I am reliably informed, the heat and moisture from the previous seminars has damaged the camera. You will be pleased to know that the camera has since been replaced and (hopefully) the pictures from the weapons defence seminar should be of the required standard.
