| Good afternoon. Just a short note to say how nice it was to see a full seminar yesterday. As everyone who attended will tell you - what I said about the seminar being extremely taxing was certainly true (and in my opinion of all the seminars I have taught only the Biu Jee is more demanding). Today will be continuing the defence against knives and developing the necessary skills to defend against more dangerous attacks and situations. I will also be recapping briefly yesterday’s theory so those that missed out can catch up (and test those that did). Sifu | | |

| Making a difference | |

| Good morning. I would like to mention an email I unexpectedly received a few weeks ago from a student who recently joined the school. Some of this text can be seen on the Home page. In brief it concerned a student who had only been training in the class for a couple of lessons and successfully applied the principles and techniques to a dangerous situation. I have drawn attention to it as it shows an apt illustration of the art to others. For other new students (indeed, taught about this very topic in class a couple of weeks ago) it just shows what you can achieve when you combine the art of Wing Tsun with belief and courage. I would like to say thank you to the student who email ... | | |

| Good evening. Tomorrow is the first day of the seminar. If you haven’t already booked your place and wish to do so you still have time, but please ensure you call or email the school first. I am particularly looking forward to teaching it; I have mentioned it already, but there is so much information which is so rarely taught that you will be missing out if you are not there... To add a little to what I have already written, the seminar will be extremely tiring, both mentally and physically (as the people who attended last year will testify). However, this should not put you off, rather the opposite - knowing the ... | | |

| The first step of the year... | |

| Good afternoon. On Sunday afternoon of the forthcoming seminar the first grading of the year will take place. For those that are new to reading my blog I recommend that you read some of my past entries to find out more about this topic. It is always amazing how quickly time goes when you are working hard - it has now been over 3 months since the last grading took place. Most of the students should have spoken to the Si-Hings/Si-Meis by now about his topic when discussing the goals for 2008. However, if you haven’t, or if you are at all unclear about whether you should be grading, please approach the teachers about it. The Si-Hings/Si-Meis will also be going over with you the requirements for it next week (and if you asked nicely I’m su ... | | |

| Convenience | |
| By Si- Fu onWednesday, February 20, 2008 | |
| Good afternoon. I may have mentioned it already, but the school is able to take payment by all major credit cards (including American Express) in addition to the normal payments by cash or cheque. This applies not only for seminars, but also for tuition and uniform etc. We implemented this as it was requested by a number of students as a more convenient way of both paying for, and budgeting, training. I am also informed that there is a discount for the forthcoming seminar if you pay more than 1 week in advance. If you are interested in coming and would like to take advantage of this, please call the school or speak to one of the instructors when in class. | |

| Good morning on another delightfully fresh day. Nowhere that I have ever visited can quite compare to being in the English countryside on a day like this. It is one of the greatest privileges of being a professional teacher that I am able teach on such mornings. Today I would like to speak briefly about the forthcoming seminar on unarmed defence against weapons on 28 th February to 2 nd March. The brochures for this have been published and should be distributed this week. If you have not received one by Thursday, and wish to do so, please contact us and one of the instructors will send you out one.

| Good morning. While on the recent topic of dates I have some other relevant ones for the year. I would suggest that you put these in your diaries straight away, as I know personally how easy it is to forget otherwise. Easter break 20th – 27th March Graduation 12 | | |
