| Good afternoon. This forthcoming week is an important one; the classes will aim to cover a comprehensive revision of all the material required for each of the grade. This is the culmination of the teaching that has taken place throughout the year, and is your chance to catch up on anything that you have missed. Aside from this, the intention is to make sure that each student is well prepared for the forthcoming, and final, grading of the year which take place at the end of the Chi-Sau seminar (27th – 30h November), The classes will be covering, among others, the theories, Chinese names, principles and etiquette required for the exams. I believe that it is particularly important that all students should be looking to grade, mo ... | | |

| Good morning. I would like to make one further mention of the Chi-Gerk seminar. It does not actually relate to the seminar itself, but to what happened at the end of the training; we held a two-minute silence for the passing away of Dai-Sihing Szabó Ferenc. His death sadly occurred a few months ago, but the September seminar was the first time that I felt it was appropriate for him to be remembered. He was my elder Kung Fu brother and my Sifu’s first student, loyally serving his master and Wing Tsun for over 20 years. I will not attempt to give a chronology of his life or a eulogy of his achievements as I do not think that I can do him justice. However, I would like to say a few words about him and it would be fair to say that legends have already developed about him during his rather remarkable lifetime. | | |

| Good afternoon. The photographs from the Chi-Gerk seminar are now in the gallery. I am happy to say that they are of the usual high standard. There are more photos than usual; as it was such a special event there were a couple of different photographers present in an attempt to capture the students training across a number of the different days. | Good morning. Lasted night I visited the school in Bromley. What in fact was only meant to be a rather fleeting visit (simply to teach one of the teachers a private lesson before the evening classes commenced) ended up being rather longer… Despite teaching Wing Tsun for many years now I still enjoy teaching as much as when I started; for me, in my heart, nothing has changed about Wing Tsun no matter the level or knowledge I have received. If anything my attachment to this beautiful art has grown stronger and deeper as the years have progressed. There are many different ways of controlling your ego, but I believe (as indeed was taught to me by my Sifu) that if you really want to be a true master you also must remember that innocent boy inside you when you started, and his love for the art; you must keep your connection with him as keeps you ... | | |

| Good morning. I would like to write about the recent Chi-Gerk seminar. I apologise for not writing sooner, I have been literally teaching non-stop since then. Time permitting I will try to relate some of the interesting events that have happened in the past few weeks. The seminar proved to be every bit as special as it promised. There are a number of reasons for this, but not least was the fact that so many students made the effort to attend. It was nice to see students that could not attend the whole seminar still coming to least one of the sessions. There are few things in martial arts can make a master more satisfied than to see students happily training together the art that he loves… It was also good to see members of the d ... | | |

| Another thank you... | |

| Good morning. I would like to thank all the people who wrote to me recently expressing their agreement with, and belief in, what was written in my post on the 10th August. I have had quite a large number of emails, from both martial artists and non-martial artists alike. It is always nice to know when something is well-received, so I appreciate those people taking the time to let me know. I am also happy if I can help people see what is right and what is wrong. It certainly doesn’t always make me popular – but thankfully this is not the role of a master. If we are going to make the world we live in the place it should be, it needs people more to stand up and say what they believe… | |
