Young People

13-18 Years Old
We very much welcome young people into our classes and some of our most talented students have been the product of our passion for helping young people develop. Our instructors have great experience at teaching people in this age category - conducting courses at a large number of secondary schools.

Studies have proved that martial arts not only offer a positive sense of achievement for young people - but also helps in mental development. Wing Tsun helps improve self-discipline, concentration and builds self esteem and confidence. It is also clear that, when faced with a potentially dangerous situation, young people with knowledge of effective self defence are much less likely to act in a way that provokes the situation.

We recognise the importance of school work and this is one of the reasons we have set a flexible timetable. We also know that, at times of exams, young people must must focus on their studies – it is very important to us that our students are successful generally in life and not just at Wing Tsun. As long as we are given advanced notice our instructors will provide free catch-up lessons to ensure that students don’t miss out.

While we believe that learning Wing Tsun should above all else be fun, we expect our young students to conform and stick to the school rules. We integrate our young students in with our adults and take great care in ensuring that their safety and development are paramount.

As we passionately believe in helping young people develop we also offer a 10% discount to all full-time students on the product of a valid NUS card.

'Before I came to this school I was a victim, but since I started training I have become a lot more self-confident and believe that I can handle myself in almost every situation. Wing Tsun is the martial art for those that fear bullies and muggers.’ Alan S, 16 from Bromley.
